Our innovation is exemplified in our “export a port” project
applied to the extension of the quay facilities for Sonils in the
Port of Luanda, Angola. A limited local labour force, poor
quality and limited availability of local materials were the
determining factors that required a unique solution. Our final award winning solution was to ship counterfort units
fabricated in Saldanha Bay, South Africa to the site in Angola some 1,600km away,
resulting in the successful implementation of this project. Our holistic approach to marine projects is well represented by
the aviation fuel offloading and transfer facility at Chep Lap Kok
airport in Hong Kong. This twin berth tanker terminal comprises
mooring and berthing dolphins, separate service platforms,
associated pipe racks, walkways and submarine pipelines. Topside
fuel piping, pumps, fire fighting systems, navigational aids and SER
base were also included in the contract design-construct scope.
